A historical journey
Marmara Marble is a natural stone on the Marmara Island, which was named after centuries. This marble, which extends to the ancient times, stands out not only with its beauty, but also with its durability and processability.

Use it in ancient times:

Marmara Marble BC. It dates back to the 6th century. It was first published by the Greeks on Marmara Island, known as Prokonnesos. During this period, it was used for marble, temples, sculptures and other important buildings. One of the most famous examples is the Temple of Parthenon in Athens.

Ottoman Empire Period:

The Ottoman Empire understood the value of Marmara marble and used it in many important structures. Studies such as Sultanahmet Mosque, Dolmabahçe Palace and Selimiye Mosque witness the magnificence of this bullet. In this period, marble became very popular not only in Turkey but also in Europe.

Period of the Byzantine Empire:

During the Byzantine Empire, the Marmara Marble was the official marble of the empire. From this marble, iconic structures such as Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Chora Church were built. The Byzantines used marble not only in buildings, but also in mosaics and sculptures.

Today Marmara Marble:

Today, Marmara Marble is still considered one of the most valuable and prestigious marbles in the world. It is preferred in luxury residences, hotels and commercial buildings. It is also often used by sculptures and designers.
